For those asking what kind of pencils..
the pencils I used for this drawing are pictured below

They are Prismacolor Premier~Turquoise
Medium Graphite~Sketching Pencils
Set  of 12 in a tin..( tree on cover of tin)
So far they are a lovely variety
and some really soft leads
so you have to be a bit gentle with them.
I have only tried few of them so far, must sharpen the rest!

Thanks mom( a gift from her!)

this year i have been learning to know and feel the difference between birch and aspen, sometimes they look so much the same to me.

    1. thanks kindred, your words mean so much! me too..the birch and aspen are both so beautiful .

This tree picture is from my walks in yellow birch trail, there are so many different kinds and colors of birch ...grey, white , red, silver , black etc all magical,
i am sure you know, being a tree -kindred and forest walker yourself!!and they are all unique, but I love the ambery tinges on the bark to the yellow birch family.

I know in my drawing it seems more aspen-like with the big knots in the tree.,but this faery spoke of birch!
so it is neat you sense that same thought I had perhaps!! how wild!
      hugs
